Julie Villard & Simon Brossard ~ .°~ Exo Exo, Paris

Julie Villard & Simon Brossard (born 1992 in Carpentras and 1994 in Créteil, France) live and work in Paris. They initiated their artistic collaboration in 2016 as they were studying at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Art de Paris-Cergy. Hybridation is at the heart of Villard & Brossard’s research and practice. Their sculptures originate from industrial objects they gather and transform through different techniques of casting, moulding and assembly. They inject in their works components of functional objects, mixing past and present, combining medical appliances and childhood toys in order to produce conglomerates of hybrid forms with an erotic, vegetal and animal reminiscence.Their work has been exhibited in France and Europe at Palais de Tokyo, Paris ; Exo Exo, Paris ; Future Gallery, Berlin ; Château du Fëy, Villecien ; 22,48 m2, Paris ; l’Orfèvrerie, Paris ; Damien and the Love Guru, Brussels ; Sophie Tappeiner, Vienna ; Plato, Ostrava.
