Exo Exo is delighted to present 'xo of excess', a special 'Day/Night Rave' by Diesel project space, in which visitors are into collapsing boundaries - between the real and the virtual, the organic and synthetic, the gallery and the club.
'xo of excess' is a sort of speculative fiction in sound and image, dealing with the dawning of the Anthropocene, defined by scholars as the epoch of humankind.
Between the dream of 'low carbon future' & other 'theories of catastrophism', what is the future of the next generation? Subsumed into the digital realm, have we reached hyperreality yet?
From these questions, the exhibition will present an ostentatious display of installations & live performances, a tracking list about the issue of identity in an economy of excess, leading us to the question of life and death in a world built by man and technology.
